There were years when I didn’t feel like the king of anything.
Not my emotions.
Not my decisions.
Not even my own story.
I wore what other people expected of me. Spoke like who I thought I should be. Walking through life like I had something to prove, and nothing to offer.
Until one day I realized something powerful:
I wasn’t lacking confidence. I had just forgotten who I was.
And the second I owned that truth, everything changed.
🛑First, Stop Waiting for Someone
to Hand It to You
You’re not going to “find” confidence like it’s sitting at the bottom of a cereal box.
It’s not earned through popularity, money, or validation.
Confidence is built by showing up for yourself consistently, even when no one else claps for you.
That means:
Taking the first step even if your voice shakes
Making a decision and standing by it
Dressing like you matter, talking like you matter, living like you matter
This is just like being crowned royalty, not because you’re better, but because you’ve finally remembered your own worth.

Let’s not get it twisted: You can have 100K followers and still doubt yourself when you look in the mirror.
Confidence isn’t loud. It’s grounded. It doesn’t need permission. It doesn’t need applause.
It comes from alignment. From telling the truth to yourself. From living out your values even when they’re unpopular.
You rock the crown when you stop chasing the throne.

Look at your life right now. What does it reflect? What Does It Mean?
Is it full of distractions that keep you from showing up bold and clear?
Are you choosing people and environments that dim your light instead of sharpening it?
Here’s the reality: Confidence grows in places where you’re safe to be seen. That means you have to go first. You have to build that space in your own head and heart.
Side Note for Veterans, Students, and Adults:
To my fellow Vets, confidence doesn’t mean you’re always stoic. It means you’ve owned your scars and still choose to lead.
To College Students, It’s okay if you don’t know the next step. Confidence is built by taking it anyway.
To adults juggling it all, wear the crown in your chaos. Don’t shrink to fit what broke you.
💣What They Don’t Teach You
About Wearing the Crown
Here’s what nobody tells you:
It’s heavy. You’ll doubt you deserve it.
People will question your glow.
You’ll want to take it off and go back to blending in, because according to the laws of human nature, naturally, we don’t mind supporting others in their personal success…we just don’t want them to do better than us..
Trust me when I say this, “don’t”. Don’t stop shining because others are uncomfortable wearing their crown. It is not meant for everyone, and that's ok.
Confidence isn’t a costume, it’s the truth underneath everything you were told to hide.
You’re not becoming someone new, You’re becoming who you were before the world told you to be someone else. During my inner-work aha moments, I realized that I was becoming the person who I was already meant to become. I just wasn’t aligned with my values, morals, self awareness, and emotional intelligence.
