From Hot Springs to Snow Caps: Beyond The Beaten Path

Leaving California’s Desert Hot Springs to Phoenix 3/8-3/9

This was a MF drive! The GPS said 4 hours, but it took us 5-6 hours in the RV. I have to admit I loved the drive leaving The Salton Sea area from the coachella valley. It's crazy how there's a lake/sea in the middle of the desert, and then you look north of that towards the mountains and you can see snow caps on the mountain peaks, and on top of that! There are hot springs to the south of that.

After a shrommy night in the hot tubs/hot springs

Brenda & I ended up taking a backroad scenic route that eventually merged with I-10, really cool mini pinnacles and crevices for rock climbing, off-roading, and overnight camping. The weather was a little warm during the day, but super cool in the evenings. As we navigated through the terrain I would see groups of friends in random areas laughing and enjoying their time together. I smiled because I think that's what life is all about. Creating lifetime memories and experiences that you can only get by going outside and ignoring your cell phones.

I love being on the road, I love having the freedom to live this type of life, I love that I’m physically, mentally, and financially able to live this type of lifestyle. I know it's unconventional, but I truly believe that each family has certain members in it who don’t fit the cookie cutter image for the next generation. Without being misconstrued or sounding arrogant, i’ve lived a lot of life and hold so much life experience that sometimes it's overwhelming mentally to think about how all of my life experiences have impacted or influenced my belief system, decision making, and direction.

Take a few seconds to think or reflect on your life up till now. I have a really cool quote that I use in my strategy coaching classes, “Your past doesn’t define you, but everything up till-now is your fault” consider all the good and all the bad times in your life. Here’s a secret, you are exactly where you’re supposed to be. It doesn't sound too pleasing to hear this, but like a house built on a foundation. This is your foundational reflection, reread/rewrite/rescript and pivot your blueprints of life. There’s no better time than to start right now! Remember, these last two points:

  1. “You are never starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.”

  2. “How many times do you want to keep starting over and over…?”

The question still remains, “What is the meaning of life” Why are we all so different yet all the same.

Well I’ve concluded that the answers were never “out there” but rather from within us.

Answer these 3 questions to paint a 3D model of your current reality right now.

  1. Who were you?

  2. Who are you?

  3. And Who do you want to become?

We were in the Phoenix area for the last 3 days. Upon arriving I dropped Brenda off at her family's house and I went on about 10 miles north, just around the corner from Arizona State University at a local Harvest Host Ranch style property, it was pretty cool. Interviewed the owner/seller of the property. Long story short, she’s in a lawsuit about “Vapes” apparently and this is just hearsay- her husband introduced vapes into the US and sounds like other partners or investors want a piece of the profits that are in the millions. Her name will remain anonymous, a really nice-caring woman who’s also a CPA. She let Loki and I stay for free both nights. Her overall future vision for the property was to turn it into a therapy farm for veterans such as myself and others with similar disabilities.

Its cool when you can start putting yourself first based on all the good qualities about yourself, life tends to fold, mold, and shape your reality more and more. Leading you or guiding you towards other like minded people as well as leading you towards all your goals, aspirations, and passions naturally. Allowing you to trust not only yourself more and more, but to trust the overall process more and more. “Putting your life in god’s hands” not metaphorically, but through integrity.

What used to be called “coincidences” transform into blissful blessings from your faith, awareness, and deliberate engagement with the universe."

Trust yourself, believe in something higher, and watch life unfold exactly how you imagined it would.
